Santa Cruz Big Trees and Pacific Railway Information

The Santa Cruz, Big Trees and Pacific Railway (reporting mark SCBG) is a freight and heritage railroad in California. It uses diesel locomotives to haul tourist trains over an 8-mile (13 km) stretch between Felton and an interchange with the Saint Paul and Pacific Railroad. Trains continue on to the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk on the SPP Watsonville-Davenport line. The SCBG is unique in that automobile traffic on many main streets in local areas must move aside for the train to pass by as the rails sometimes run down the middle of the street.
