The Upper Merion and Plymouth Railroad (reporting mark UMP) is a Class III shortline railroad that was created in 1907 for transporting steel from the Conshohocken, PA steel mill (Allen Wood Steel Company at the time). It is still operated today for the same reason, although now it also has operations involving chemicals and paper. The UMP has interchanges with Norfolk Southern Railway.
