Lorain and West Virginia Railway Information

In 1991, the purchase of the southern 7.8 miles of the original track marked the renwal of the L&WV. Operations first began in 1993, during the week of the Lorain County Fair. Since that time, more of the line has been purchased and the southern 6 miles have be rehabilitated into a working state. The Lorain and West Virginia Railway is now a shortline tourist railroad.
